The Metropolitan Corporation shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to acquire and hold property and enter into any contract and may sue and be sued in its name.
The Metropolitan Corporation shall, subject to the provisions of Capital Development Authority Ordinance 1960 and Islamabad Capital Territory Zoning Regulations 1992 perform functions mentioned in Third Schedule.
The Metropolitan Corporation may entrust any of its functions to a person, an authority, agency or company through a contractual arrangement, on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.
